Secure WEEE Recycling, trading as SDR, provide the most eco-friendly IT solutions in the industry. On behalf of corporate clients, they handle large volumes of scrap and Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) which they largely sell on, following a 'zero waste to landfill' policy. Having raised with us previously, SDR are returning to facilitate further growth through stock purchase, recruitment, and warehouse renovation.

Managing end-of-life electronics with the environment in mind

Data management is at the forefront of most organisations' minds. Once data-bearing electronics have reached the end of their lifecycle, secure disposal is required to avoid a security threat or even the risk of incurring fines. SDR was formed to tackle this problem. We operate a nationwide collection service and have recycled a large amount of Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) so far. This covers a wide range of materials, from LCD and CRT monitors to batteries, metals and credit cards, circuit boards to CDs. We have impressive experience within the sector and recognise the circular economy of such electronics, so we sell 80% of the waste product to second-user markets.

Most importantly, we're licensed by the Environment Agency. We're also a member of the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID) and the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) who police the strict regulations we conform to when performing these services. All our processes are ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 accredited ensuring strict Quality Control and Security. We understand our duty to the environment and ensure that we never use landfills. Recycling certificates are provided as standard and we adhere to all disposal regulations.

We therefore wish to continue this success as we enter 2019 with plans to expand. The funds raised in this campaign will goes towards purchasing more stock, as well as recruiting more team members and updating our warehouse facilities.
