Credit commentary:
The director’s father is providing a personal guarantee, this means that if the business fails the director becomes personally liable for the loan. The director’s father is a homeowner, however, this does not ensure there are sufficient assets should the loan need to be recovered. There have been no CCJs for the business or director. The bank statements demonstrate limited affordability due to recent loans, however, the business is currently expanding. The business has had an increase in turnover and net profit from 2020 to 2021. In the 2021 accounts, turnover was £5,863,469 and other operating income was £176,639. The 2021 turnover in the financial table below includes the addition of other operating income.
COVID-resilience:
The reason for the loan is as follows, the business has been extremely busy however payment from customers on a valuation basis has meant that some invoices paid are lower value than expected. This has therefore caused a knock on effect on payment to the businesses suppliers (credit limits reduced since COVID) who are paid every 30 days.
