Dhillon’s Brewery is a microbrewery and taphouse based in Coventry and in operation for 8 years. They are an entrenched member of their local community, and sponsor many local organisations. The chief of their accolades is being the official fan village for Coventry City FC. They primarily produce a number of imaginative craft beers, but their taphouse is something of a local social hub as well, offering plenty of events.

To keep it re'ale

Dhillon's Brewery, an award-winning microbrewery situated in the heart of the midlands, was founded in 2015 with one goal in mind - to keep it re'ale. Our commander-in-chief Mr Dhillon had a dream of brewing beautifully crafted beer and started building his team to achieve this. Joined by Pedro, our head brewer with a wealth of experience in the brewing industry, and with Gordon taking control of sales and marketing, the journey commenced.
Our passion is producing the most exciting, beautifully crafted ales with a slight hint of madness! Equipped with a variety of traditional and modern brewing methods, our creative combinations are complimented by a contemporary, edgy approach to achieving our goals.

We're very loyal to our city, passionate about our local community and have a huge interest in supporting local businesses and causes close to our hearts. Dhillon's Brewery is also the official Coventry City FC fan's village. We have shown our support to the football club by arranging coaches for fans to and from St. Andrew's in previous seasons. We aim to be a local hub where artists can come and show their talents in our tap house, be home to local businesses and workers with live events and entertainment, and above all keep producing the most exciting craft ales with our hint of madness!

Coventry City FC may have our heart, but we have a vested interest in the rest of our local community as well. We sponsor many community staples, including: Nuneaton Football Club, Old Coventrians Rugby Club, Coventrians Rugby Club, and we even support some student organisations and events at Warwick University! We also strive to improve our sustainability. We supply Birch Tree Farm with grains to feed their cows and hops to fertilise their lawn, and we also use biodegradable plastic pint glasses and other materials where we can.

Credit commentary:
The director Dal Dhillion is providing a personal guarantee, which means should the business fail and have insufficient assets within the business to repay the loan, we can look to the guarantor(s) to repay any shortfall on repayment. There have been no CCJs for the business or director. The Equifax score and grade, on which we base our assessment of risk, are based on the 2022 accounts. The business has consistently maintained a stable turnover in the last two years. In the fiscal year 2023, the pre-tax profit amounted to £166,621, and the net equity stood at £428,531, underscoring the company's robust financial health. Our analysis confirms a debt-servicing capacity of 2.86, indicating the company's ability to manage its loans effectively. With an EBITDA of approximately £166,804, showing the company's financial strength to cover the proposed facility.

Inflation Risk:
The business advised that although the market has increased prices due to the cost of raw materials, the business manages its supply on a set period based on agreed costs. As the majority of lending to the business is at a fixed rate, they will not be immediately affected by interest rate increases. The director does not expect to draw money from the business as all capital is vital for growth.
