After a previous successful funding round with Crowd2fund and perfect repayment history, leading architectural practice BRL (Burke Richards) is back. Established for over 20 years, they have become a nationally recognised specialist in architectural design for sports and leisure, as well as residential and commercial sectors. They design unique and sustainable buildings for large development projects. The funds raised from this campaign will go towards a development project which is currently in progress.

We’re passionate about the environment and are always creatively seeking solutions for low carbon emissions and support benchmark schemes like BREEAM and the Code for Sustainable Homes. Our company is also ISO 14001 registered for environmental management.

We have made huge investments in personnel and new technology, to advance our capabilities which in turn have substantially improved throughout the decades. We now operate on a national level.

Although COVID-19 reduced revenues and staff did go on furlough, the construction sector remained open during COVID-19. Most of the reduction in revenue has now been recovered. They have been offered a revenue loan by Crowd2Fund to allow flexibility and evidence has been provided of the scope of work for the pre-existing project. They have a number of projects underway and there is sufficient security across an £18m property portfolio, however this is a non secured loan.
Credit Risk Comments:
The director is providing a personal guarantee, this means that if the business fails the directors become personally liable for the loan. The directors is a homeowner, however this does not ensure there are sufficient assets should the loan need to be recovered. There have been no CCJs for the business or directors. There will be cross company guarantees with Chromeart Ltd and Devcor Properties.
