James Bond, the Secret Service, the Kennedy family. Turbocraft is a legendary brand. Launched in the fifties it was the first ever brand to use the revolutionary water jet propulsion system. For 30 years Turbocraft became the choice of the rich and famous. Turbocraft is now back, led by an experienced team of luxury brand managers and yacht designers.
Turbocraft's DNA is a distinctive blend of heritage, design and quality that caters to a super-rich population.
Since 1959, Turbocraft, the legendary American boat brand, has offered elegant, qualitative and innovative boats such as the new Thunderclap 38.
Heritage, Style, Quality:
Turbocraft is an icon of luxury lifestyle on the waters, the perfect blend of comfort and technology.
The DNA of Turbocraft is a distinctive blend of innovation, design and craftsmanship. After 3 years of passionate development, Turbocraft is now back with Thunderclap, a 38 feet day boat offering survey lines reminiscent of the sixties, functional features and sophisticated design to cruise with style.Â
"A fusion of noble materials":
A Buehler Turbocraft boat is a piece of craftsmanship. A fusion of noble materials. A hull made of cold-molded wood engineered with the most advanced technology to provide unrivalled structural and isolation properties. A deck boosting the finest available teak, copper and other highly qualitative materials. Exterior seating areas made of the finest marine leathers. A forward cabin displaying elegant mahogany and fabrics.
Faithful to its pioneering heritage the brand perpetuates the use of water jet propulsion that offers unique characteristics: accessibility to shallow water, beaching, low maintenance costs, unrivalled manoeuvrability and acceleration. Penned by talented super yacht designers, the boat is conceived as a perfect super yacht tender: low draught, light weight, functional boarding steps and an unmistakable silhouette to shuttle back-and- forth with style.Â
A talented and passionate team:
The Turbocraft team gathers complementary talents and a common passion for yachting. The owner of Turbocraft, John Clapot, is a specialist in luxury brands' development with a staunch experience in major American corporations such as Ralph Lauren. The man behind this new 38-footer design is Fabrice Clapot (John's brother), a talented mega yacht designer and naval architect working for the world's leading yacht design office, Espen Øino. Fabrice is working on the world's biggest yacht projects, serving exclusive clientele. The second naval architect is a Westlawn graduated yacht designer specialised in exterior styling, 3D modelling and project management for open and limo tenders. He has a +10 years experience at Espen Øino International. Their design ideas are backed by the naval engineer, Alex Fortabat, a graduate (with Honours) from the renowned Southampton Maritime Faculty with a specialisation in aero-hydrodynamics of sailing. He has vast experience working with different design offices on projects ranging from production sailing yachts to exploration ships and icebreakers. As for the interior of the boat, the design and decoration are trusted to two professionals with an experience in major interior design companies.
Sales & Marketing:
Turbocraft will focus on its international development from the beginning. Their markets will be USA and Europe closely followed by high-potential countries like Brazil, Turkey, Russia, India and China.
We have a three-layer marketing strategy: selected advertising, boat shows and co-branding partnerships. The communication will be very innovative: the boats will be presented in settings and with imagery very different from the competition to create a unique atmosphere and identity standing out of the crowd and appealing to the customers.
Also planning to attend the main yacht shows, including:
- Fort Lauderdale Boat Show (FLIBS) – November
- Miami Boat Show (USA) – February
- Monaco Boat Show (Monaco) – September
Turbocraft will push to sponsor specific sports events like sailing races or boat show – and other prestigious events, indirectly linked to the yachting world but bringing interesting media coverage and word-to-mouth.
To sum it up...
Today the Turbocraft team need you to make this new project a reality. We have all the ingredients of success: a team of renown luxury yacht designers, the experience in luxury brand development and great boat building skills.Â
We have a network of professional brokers (Miami and Monaco) eager to introduce Turbocraft on the market and with whom we have entered into formal distributorship agreements.
We also have more than 5 prospects interested in buying the boat. Yet, buying a boat is an emotional purchase and one needs to see, touch and try the boat to be seduced. The funds we are raising will, therefore, be dedicated to building the first boat, the "proof of concept".
Turbocraft is a tangible adventure were shareholders will be part of every step of the construction process and will have the privilege to try and experience the boat through free chartering.
