Slater London is a bespoke cabinet making service, working closely with interior designers, contractors, and architects to develop stunning fit-outs in residential properties. They work with a range of materials and timbers, and offer specialist dyed veneers and lacquer finishes. Having grown from their origins as part of a construction business, they're quickly developing as an independent entity and are acquiring more equipment and facilities in-house. Therefore, the funds raised will be used to purchase a spray booth to aid future projects.

The finest cabinetry in London and the South East

Slater London was formed in 2011 as part of a construction business specialising in housing developments. We quickly grew and became an independent entity as we gained more cabinet makers and moved to a larger premises. We work directly with designers, contractors, developers, and architects to create and manage beautiful interior fit-outs, including basement excavations and façade retentions, for example. Everything we produce is unique, whether it's an item of furniture or a fully-fitted kitchen. We have an excellent team of highly skilled craftsman, producing the finest quality cabinetry in London.

Our process is as follows: we work from designers' concept drawings, which we price up; we then produce our own detailed CAD drawings and commence with the manufacturing process. We combine traditional methods with modern technology to ensure the highest standard of project delivery, bespoke to each individual client. The main material we work with is timber – mainly veneered MDF, as well as oak and walnut – but also varieties of metals, wallpaper, and fabrics. We also offer specialist dyed veneers, such as bird's eye maple, figured sycamore, and eucalyptus.

We're now based in a 6,000 square foot warehouse near Chessington, where we work on projects that vary in size from around £20,000 to £300,000. Our portfolio includes high-end properties in Kensington, Chelsea, Notting Hill, St Johns Wood, and Mayfair, and are looking further afield in places such as Oxshot, Wimbledon, and East Sussex. We're passionate about leading the sector in good practice and are members of the Considerate Constructors scheme, meaning we're mindful of the environment and the community.

As we grow our facilities, we're looking to purchase more equipment in-house to assist with work flow. The money raised in this campaign will therefore be used to buy a spray booth and install it in our warehouse.

A. It is looking good. We are currently busy, and have a large projects in Chelsea due to start in August and other good sized projects lined up in Blackheath, Berkshire, Fulham, Pimlico and Wimbledon

A. Introducing an in-house spray booth will make us far more efficient, increasing margins and reducing time spent delivering and collecting from our existing finisher.

A. The market is relatively competitive and as we tender for each project we have to restrain our margins to a degree. By installing an in-house finishing facility (spray booth) our margins will increase.
