Our Story
Secret Chamber Tours is an ambitious tour company delivering immersive historical walking tours. We founded the business in 2011 and are headquartered in Belfast, while operating in London. We are best known for our Jack the Ripper tours, which combine expert storytelling, historical research, and visual projections to recreate Victorian London. The business was founded by brothers Colin and Richard, who turned their childhood fascination with the Titanic and Jack the Ripper into a unique tourism experience. Colin previously created the first Titanic Walking Tour in Belfast in 2008, and after its success we expanded to London in 2011 to tap into the city’s rich history and global tourism market. Today, Secret Chamber Tours has become a well-reviewed and profitable tour operator. We continue to grow by enhancing our London experiences while developing new products, including additional themed tours and future coach tours to destinations such as Stonehenge and the Giant’s Causeway.
Credit Commentary
Secret Chamber Tours Limited organizes and sells guided walking tours for tourists in London. These tours are led by guides who walk groups through neighbourhood while explaining historical events and stories. Their main product is a Jack the Ripper historical tour. The company was incorporated in 2011 and holds Equifax grade of C. One of the principal shareholders, Colin Cobb, is providing a personal guarantee, ensuring that in the event the company is unable to meet its loan obligations, the guarantor will cover for any shortfall. The shareholder has a good credit profile, although he is non-homeowner. The review of financials indicates a stable and steady profile in the revenue. The company is generating sufficient EBITDA to cover for the proposed loan obligations. The bank statements review indicates a good affordability for the loan, and we have utilized the Open Banking data as well which again indicates good affordability for the loan. The funds will be utilised for marketing purposes. Inflation Risk – as per the client, the business does get impacted by inflation but one benefit accruing to them is since their customers are from all over the world, so it is not limited to changes in UK based inflation.
