Specialising in the trade of ferrous scrap, One World Commodities is ever increasing its connections around the world. Using energy efficient electric arc furnaces, rather than more traditional blast furnaces, One World Commodities are moving forward environmentally in the scrap metal business. We focus on helping smaller scrap yards in the UK sell into the international market. This loan would allow the purchase of further scrap metal to help expand the business.

Linking UK scrap suppliers to a global market

So, what makes us different?

Traditionally, scrap metal is melted down using a blast furnace, which is expensive and not environmentally friendly, as it uses a lot of energy to produce clean metal. One World Commodities uses a newer technology, electric arc furnaces, which are both economical and more environmentally efficient at recycling the scrap metal.

One World Commodities was established in 2014 by Paul Bridgman. Paul has been in the metal industry for over 10 years and started his own scrap metal company 3 years ago which has been growing ever since.

Specialising in ferrous scrap, One World Commodities has been establishing bridges between Europe, North America and buyers in Asia. We work with small and medium sized scrap yards who are looking for a reliable and established partner to give them access to international markets whilst dealing at a local level. As a consequence we offer a wide range of products to buyers in Asia, from heavy melting steel, cast iron and compressed steel sheet to recycling old train track rails and structural scrap.

We pride ourselves on our local market knowledge and the level of service that we provide to all our trading counterparts.
