Founded by Stephen Lazarides, former agent, manager and photographer for the graffiti artist Banksy. Stephen is a world renowned publisher, photographer, collector and curator. Lazarides' current venture is a family owned business called Laz Emporium, selling art prints and homeware using designs from some of today's most exciting artists. He is currently seeking funds for product development and expansion.

We aim to sell an eclectic and intriguing range of luxury, one-of-a- kind items, created by brilliant artists

Laz Emporium is a gallery that sells art, interior design and collectibles from the world’s best graphic artists, including: Gorillaz creator Jamie Hewlett, painters Jonathan Yeo and Charming Baker, graffiti icons Mode 2 and Stash. At Laz Emporium, you'll find original artworks, print editions, cushions, lampshades, furniture, crockery, tiles, tea towels, T-shirts, tote bags and much more. We have an online store and a shop across two floors in Soho, London, with a downstairs exhibition space. The items are all made at Lazarides' art, design and craft studio in the West Country.

I am known for helping to popularising street art and underground art. The market in street art became commercially successful in 2007 only shortly before the 2008 recession, with Banksy's work, "Laugh Now", selling for £228,000 at auction in early 2008. Andrew Child wrote in the Financial Times, "If there had been one individual responsible for whipping up and sustaining the fever around urban art, and who stood to lose most from its demise, it was Steve Lazarides."

My new venture, Laz Emporium is something that I am most proud of and excited about. It is a family owned business that prides itself on excellence. All our pieces are hand-made from sustainable materials created or sourced in the UK/ Ireland. Nearly all pieces are printed and assembled in the new Laz Studio. My mum and dad run the warehouse. An emporium is ‘a store carrying many different kinds of merchandise’ – an eclectic and intriguing range of stock. And it feels like I’ve finally settled on a project that encompasses all my interests. Something that doesn’t just involve art, but also photography, design, and publishing. The team consist of master craftsman who are always pushing the envelope, committing to innovation and brilliance. Our products are of the highest quality, one-of-a- kind luxury items developed entirely in-house.

I am thrilled about this next phase of expansion and delighted to offer you the opportunity to join us as we continue to grow.

Credit commentary:
The director is providing a personal guarantee, this means that if the business fails, the director become personally liable for the loan. The director is a homeowner, however, this does not ensure there are sufficient assets should the loan need to be recovered. There have been no CCJs against the business or director. The bank statements demonstrate reasonable affordability and the accounts remain well in credit. A guarantee and indemnity is to be taken from Laz Consultancy Ltd. This means that if the business fails to make payments on the loan then the guarantor will be liable to make the payments or settle the loan. However there is no certainty that Laz Consultancy will have sufficient assets to repay the loan. The Equifax score and grade, on which we base our assessment of risk, are based on the 2021 accounts. We have performed our assessment on recent financial information, including management accounts, which were not available to Equifax.

COVID-resilience:
LAZ EMPORIUM has an online store, it has proven good resilience during the pandemic.
