Our Story
Classic Eastern Foods was established in 2022, founded on over 20 years of industry experience in sourcing and selling Eastern European products. Recognising the growing demand from both the Eastern European diaspora and an increasingly diverse UK consumer base, the business was created to capitalise on this expanding market opportunity.
Since launch, the company has demonstrated consistent growth, supported by a loyal and expanding customer base, reliable revenue streams, and strong market insight developed through hands on experience. The business is already profitable and well positioned for further scale.
We are now seeking investment to unlock the next phase of growth by strengthening key areas including marketing, operational capacity, and product development. Targeted investment will enable us to accelerate customer acquisition, enhance efficiency, and drive higher revenues and profitability.
Credit Commentary
The company operates as a wholesale/bulk grocery supplier, especially for Eastern European groceries. The company was founded in 2022 and holds Equifax grade D(+).
The sole shareholder, Marek Pawelczak, has provided a personal guarantee and is a non-homeowner with a decent credit profile. We have secured the deal with Debenture.
The review of the financials depicts a modest picture. The EBITDA of the company is sufficient to service the debt obligations. The bank statements remain well in credit. The Company posted Net Profit of £17.6k and Net Assets stood at £64.5k for YE Apr 2025. The company would be utilizing loan proceeds for expansion purposes and purchasing a bigger warehouse.
Inflation Risk – as for the inflation impact, they mainly sell Polish and Romanian products and inflation risk is low as they adjust the prices of goods according to the changes in the inflation.
